Monday's Child is Fair of Face...

So the doctor broke my water at 8:18 a.m. on Monday, November 21 (5 days past my due date) & we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Nova Gail, to our world exactly 7 1/2 hours later...We named her "Nova" after my husband's paternal great-grandfather & "Gail" after his maternal grandfather...Not often you can give a little girl 2 grandfather names :) And of course "Nova" also means bright star & "Gail" means merry & lively...She is such a sweet baby & our little Paven has been a wonderful Big Sister, I'm so proud of her...We are so blessed ♥

Sooo, I haven't posted anything for awhile...Not sure where the last several months have gone? I turned 32 this week, we're having our second child in less than a month...Seems like we've had to redo our entire 2-bedroom house (which is never "done" anyway) to make room for one tiny little baby...Our bedroom looks amazing, but there are a few little things that need finished before I can take "after" pics...The girls' bedroom (if we're having another girl, that is) is getting there...Then there's my office that is now being transformed into a playroom...It makes me a little sad to give up my office, but it had pretty much become a dumping ground for toys & everybody else's stuff anyway...Here's some cool new stuff I'm looking forward to finding a place for :)

My friend Jessica of Jessica Jill Photography took some family pics of us over the summer...She did an amazing job...I'm about 5 months pregnant here, there's just something about this one that I love, I ordered a 16X24 mounted print of it :)

I went shopping on my birthday & found some good deals at T.J. Maxx, one of my favorite places to shop :) 3 ottomans for $28 & 2 awesome pillows for $22...It was a good day :)

I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to photograph the Homesteaders on the Prairie Antique Show in Arthur, IL...It was so much fun for me to combine two of my loves, photography AND antiques...It was like it wasn't even work ;) This is just a very small sample of what was there...It will be happening again in the fall & I think it's worth making a trip over there if you enjoy antiques and/or primitives :)

Christina & Paul, February 26, St. Louis...This was officially the last wedding that I had comitted to photograph, & I was honored to do it for my dear friend, Christina...I mean, I was gonna be there anyway ;) It was such a fun weekend, a chance for everyone to get together, & for a lot of us, our first Jewish/Catholic celebration :) A sneak peek...

There have been 3 daughters married in 3 years in this family...I photographed Deanna's wedding in 2010, Angie (on the right) was married on the beach in Florida in 2009, & last, but not least, the beautiful Christina in 2011...Their poor Dad ;)

Paven really enjoyed the m&m's from our goody bags when we got home :)

We're so happy for both of you...Paul is such a genuine, super nice guy...You were both so obviously happy on your wedding day, I am so glad to have been a part of it ♥

Even though my little one isn't in school yet, it makes me so sad when school starts, like summer's over :( The last couple of months have been so busy & have flown by...We've been lots of places & I've taken lots of pictures, but I haven't had time to post anything for awhile, so I'm starting with a few photo shoots from this summer that I never got a chance to blog about...Wouldn't want anyone to feel left out ;)

Paven was sitting beside me as I was uploading these pictures & asks who the little boy is, so I tell her his name & she says, "I want to kiss him." Seriously, already? But I guess I can't blame her, just look at these amazing blue eyes :)

I am really trying to get my office organized & decluttered, so I've decided to offer for sale all negatives prior to 2007...I went exclusively digital in 2007, so I have more than 10 years of negatives just taking up space...If you're interested in purchasing your negatives for creative purposes or just for safe keeping, please contact me. Christmas Lights Recycling Program

So, every strand of Christmas lights we own burnt out this year when we took down our tree...Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options for recycling around here...It's actually pretty inconvenient, but still...I save cardboard to give to the local 4-H, I have stacks of magazines, bags full of plastic bottles & used batteries to take to the Terre Haute Goodwill, plastic sacks full of plastic sacks to take back to Krogers or Walmart (because I'm constantly forgetting my reusable shopping bags) oh, & don't forget the aluminum cans (we actually get a tiny bit of cash for those)...It's constantly cluttering up my house, but I'm trying...It would be so awesome if we could just set our recycling outside to be picked up...Anyway, I just got done shipping a box full of Christmas lights to the Christmas Light Source Recycling Program, for anyone who is interested...They take the money they get for recycling the lights & donate it to Toys for Tots, plus they send you a discount code for 10% off new Christmas lights...I think something like this may have been done locally, but I missed out on it, sooo, if you're slow like me (busy is more like it), this place accepts lights all year long, so you can send them whenever you get around to it. :)

We just returned last week from a long road trip to Florida for my husband's sweet cousin Lila's wedding...She & Tyler were married on November 7, a beautiful day in Palm Bay...I am so glad I was able to shoot their wedding for them...It was a wonderful trip, visiting family & friends, going to the beach, Sea World, Disney World...Exhausting, but fun :) Here are just a few of Tyler, Lila, & their totally fun wedding party...

I had the opportunity last week to photograph Christian Country Music Artist & Friend, Amanda Fessant...It was the most perfect September day with an insanely blue clear sky to match Amanda's electric blue eyes...I had so much fun, especially with her sweet kids, D.J. & Madelynn, who kept me VERY entertained between wardrobe changes :)

WOW...It's been a busy month...I still have LOTS of editing to do, but here are just a few of my favorites from Justin & Kylee Muchow's wedding, which took place on August 8th in Paris. The ceremony was held at Bell Ridge, which is my "home" church & I love taking pictures there...It was HOT, but I managed to get some outdoor shots with very little complaining :) I absolutely adore this group of people...

I'm getting ready to leave for Knoxville in the morning with my cousins, April & Brittany, & my baby girl, Paven, to see my baby sis, Emily-I'm so excited! I wanted to post some pics of the wedding I'm currently working on before I go! My friends, Butch & Meghan, had a beautiful outdoor wedding at a really cool place called CD & ME in Frankfort, Illinois on the 20th of September. It was so good to see people I hadn't seen for a while & all the new people that I met were so super nice & friendly-My husband, Chris, & I had a really good time! Getting Caught Up

So after an eventful & stressful Labor Day weekend & after finishing some other projects, I am finally able to focus on finishing Megan & Ryan Carroll's wedding pics. Their wedding took place July 19th in Paris, followed by a reception at St. Mary of the Woods in Indiana, which is such a beautiful place. Megan's Uncle was in charge of all the formal shots, so I was able to take pictures behind the scenes & from a guest's point of view, which is totally the kind of photography that I love, so it was cool. I've known Megan & Ryan both for a long time & I think they make such a beautiful couple, as you can see...

Okay, so I thought this might be a good way to let you all know what I've been up to & to give you a sneak peek at your pics. It's been a very busy summer & it's proving to be extremely challenging to work from home with a 5-month old little girl, but I'm doing my best. :) I'm currently working on Melissa & Bradley Kohnen's wedding which took place July 11 (a very hot, but beautiful day) in Southern Illinois. They are such a super cute, sweet couple & the wedding party was so cooperative & so much fun! I was totally diggin' the pink flamingos! :)
